Let’s Talk About Cancellations and Rescheduling — Simply and Honestly
We had hoped this would be a topic we could avoid, but here we are — let’s keep it simple and clear.
When you book a portrait session with us, that time is reserved exclusively for you. Unlike the airlines, we don’t overbook or double-schedule. In short, scheduling your session is a professional commitment — and we fully honor our commitment to you. We kindly ask for the same in return.
CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING (Studio Sessions)
Life can throw some curveballs, right? Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car troubles, snowstorms, and illnesses - there are a million reasons why someone might have to cancel an appointment. But hey, we want to be fair to all our clients, so here are our policies:
Sure, there are exceptions to this policy. In case of death, acts of God, and/or unforeseeable forces of nature we will evaluate each on a case-by-case basis. Think Super Storm Sandy, Snowmageddon, Hurricane Hugo, etc. If you really need to ask if your situation is covered…it’s probably not. You’ll know.
If you are considering canceling/rescheduling due to bad hair, busy schedules, "the dreaded family emergency", skin rashes, animal scratches, abrasions, cold sores, shopping for clothing that you like, heavy traffic on 66/270, cuts, scrapes, etc. then you will be charged 100% of the agreed-upon session fee.
LATE ARRIVALS (Studio Sessions)
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate appointments that follow yours.
Depending upon how late you arrive, your photographer will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start the session. Regardless of the length of the session actually given, you will be responsible for the full session fee.
Out of respect and consideration to your photographer and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING (On Location Sessions)
We understand that unanticipated events happen as every business.
Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and FAIR TO ALL OF OUR CLIENTS we have adopted the following policies:
Sure, there are exceptions to this policy. In case of death, acts of God, COVID-19, and/or unforeseeable forces of nature we will evaluate each on a case by case basis. Think Super Storm Sandy, Snowmageddon, Hurricane Hugo, etc. If you really need to ask if your situation is covered…it’s probably not. You’ll know.
If you are considering canceling/rescheduling due to bad hair, busy schedules, "the dreaded family emergency", skin rashes, animal scratches, abrasions, cold sores, shopping for clothing that you like, heavy traffic on 66/270/95, cuts, scrapes, etc. then you will be charged 100% of the agreed-upon session fee.
